She was offered a trainee-ship in welfare benefits at Oxfordshire Welfare Rights in 2006 and became a specialist caseworker in early 2008.
She is experienced in delivering training, consultancy delivery, benefits casework and tribunal representation. She became joint Manager of OCWA in 2009 and took over as full time Manager in July 2015.
Sophie trained with Oxford Citizen's Advice Bureau in 2008 before gaining a role as an advisor with us in 2010. She became deputy manager in 2015.
In 2017 Sophie moved to Cornwall and now works as a benefits specialist for a mental health charity there. During 2020 she was very pleased to be able to 'remotely' join the team at Barton, once again, developing and delivering online training.
